Paul later in life

Can anyone please tell me what happened to Paul later in life? I missed the very end, when there was some text info - I read that Hilde had to leave the town and became librarian, right?

He dropped school after the trial and then he published a book that was burnt by the nazis, and then he went to France where he stayed for several years until the nazis invaded Francem then he went into exile to the US in 1941 where he became a US citizen under the name of Ernst Erich Noth and in 1963 he returned to Europe to teach at France and Germany. He died in 1983.

the punishment is that you can never forget that one moment...

There is an autobiography of Paul Krantz («Erinnerungen eines Deutschen». Düsseldorf: Claassen [1971]. 427 SS., ISBN-10: 3546471709/«Mémoires d'un Allemand». Tr. Paul et Marie Flecher. Paris: Julliard [1970]. 500 SS, ASIN: B0000DOGWE)
There is also a novel, that describes the tragedy and the trial from 1927/28 and that was taken as a basis for the movie (Arno Meyer zu Küingdorf, "Was nützt die Liebe in Gedanken", ISBN-10: 3746619319 or "Der Selbstmörder-Klub", ISBN-10: 337901673X).
The "glotzi Verlag" plans to publish "The diary of Paul Krantz 1927/28" (http://www.glotzi-verlag.de/EEN.htm), but I don't know, if these books are/will be available in english.
Paul Krantz (Ernst Erich Noth) is said to have suffered his whole live long from the traumatic tragedy (http://www.glotzi-verlag.de/EENBiografie.htm).
Hilde had to leave the city after the trial because of the unvavorable coverage in press. Paul also left Berlin and went to the "Odenwald-School" in Heppenheim, which is in the south of Germany. I would really like to know if they ever had the chance to talk about the incidents and digest together what pappened in 1927.

Has anyone read the autobiography and perhaps share more about his life?
