The characters were alot more realistic in this version.

I was never really a fan of the 70s film. The characters were so obnoxious and unlikeable - they all hated Carrie, even the teachers when trying to help seemed to ooze contempt for her. And Tommy asking her to prom always seemed like he was in on the 'joke'.

This version gives the characters their own personalities which is far more realistic.

The acting was fantastic from the actress playing Carrie too.

70s version - 4/10
This version- 7/10
2013 version- not sure if I've seen it 🤔

Ill have it out check i loved the novel, but thought the 1970s version was a over hyped

This is truer to the book from what I recall, although if must be 30 years since I read it!
