Is Greenway the reason why Walter was a self absorbed person?
I do have the feeling that Greenway greatly contributed to the reason why Walter was a self absorbed person, I feel Greenway got off pretty lightly unlike most movie villains.

1. Walters Boss was a asshole. He lived in New York City (Not Cheap) and probably was a huge kiss ass for a paycheck....Living in a nice apartment and having a family to support and on the verge of being fired probably had him beyond stressed out and always on edge.
2. My opinion. He missed Buddys mom...Buddys mom died...Walter never got over it....He goes home and in private looks her up from his College yearbook and shows signs of emotions towards her...I am sure Emily; his Wife was a great wife...But he probably will always miss Buddys mom and always be angry that she passed.
So basiacally. Between his Boss being an asshole and the fact that he lost a big love of his life....Hes got a lot of Anger.
I can imagine Walt losing Susan Wells being a very hard experience for him and him being on the verge of getting fired due to a horrible boss can cause so much stress in a person's life, Walt was very blessed to have Emily in his life, I feel Greenway got off quite easily compared to most movie villains.
