Why not Angels in the UK?

People suffered in Thatcher's Britain far more than Reagan's America. Unemployment was horrendous in Britain and it was almost illegal to be gay (section 28). The AIDS crisis was simply denied despite killing many people. Thatcher refused to address it.

But of course the angels only care about Americans right? Because Americans were the only ones suffering during that time? Come on.
