So to start, this was an awesome movie, a little confusing at first but good. It is possibly the most depressing movie I've ever seen. Most of the time I never get sad after watching movies, but wow could a movie be any more depressing. Everyones life goes to s**t.
my dear romerofanatic, i suppose you don't know a goddamn thing about depressing movies. 21 grams is surely depressing ,but try to watch Short story about love, House of Sand and Fog, Elephant Man, Dogville and Dancer in the dark
Breaking the Waves is also quite depressing. Agree with House of sand Elephant Man and Dogville. It's not feel-good movies :P The rest i haven't seen. I don't like to watch depressing movies :(
i felt bad for everyone but i didnt quite get the level of sadness that everyone who watches it seems to share. is it because i've never experienced love, loss and death even from a close distance. seems like i'm missing out on something.
yeah, it was so depressing but i think the most depressing movie of all time is "The Age of Innocence". it's quite hard to understand the whole message of the movie but if you get it, wow!! you can't stop killing yourself
it's a little bit of a different movie...not filmed in this style...but you should watch painted veil with Naomi Watts....its a really good movie that i think got short changed at that box office!
I don't think this movie was all that depressing... Movies that I thought were depressing/sad are:
Requiem for a Dream Come and See Graveyard of the Fireflies Se7en Apocalypse Now Redux (dunno why but the original didn't depressfiy me lol The Elephant Man Chinatown Oldboy Green mile The Deer Hunter etc... too lazy to think of more lol
