Most depressing movie ever!! =(

So to start, this was an awesome movie, a little confusing at first but good. It is possibly the most depressing movie I've ever seen. Most of the time I never get sad after watching movies, but wow could a movie be any more depressing. Everyones life goes to s**t.

Why isn't it on the top 250?

my dear romerofanatic, i suppose you don't know a goddamn thing about depressing movies. 21 grams is surely depressing ,but try to watch Short story about love, House of Sand and Fog, Elephant Man, Dogville and Dancer in the dark

reply

Breaking the Waves is also quite depressing. Agree with House of sand Elephant Man and Dogville. It's not feel-good movies :P The rest i haven't seen. I don't like to watch depressing movies :(

reply

i watched requiem for a dream today...
21 grams is sad...but not depressing..

'u got to watch dancer in the dark or irreversible'

Irreversible is more than depressing...irreversible is the cinematic equivelent of getting battered to death with an iron pipe...in a good way.

i felt bad for everyone but i didnt quite get the level of sadness that everyone who watches it seems to share. is it because i've never experienced love, loss and death even from a close distance. seems like i'm missing out on something.

Depressing:
-21 Grams
-Requiem for a dream
-American History X
-The Rules Of Attraction

;)

Yes, it's Capital letters you're missing out on. The language is going down the toilet.

reply

Depressing? Try Grave Of The Fireflies. That's waaaaay more depressing than this. Even though this was depressing. It ended hopeful though.

Did you ever notice that people who believe in creationism look really un-evolved? - Bill Hicks

reply

I will second that...I haven't seen a movie more depressing than this one!

reply

yeah, it was so depressing but i think the most depressing movie of all time is "The Age of Innocence". it's quite hard to understand the whole message of the movie but if you get it, wow!! you can't stop killing yourself

reply

it's a little bit of a different movie...not filmed in this style...but you should watch painted veil with Naomi Watts....its a really good movie that i think got short changed at that box office!

reply

Good films are never depressing, they are only about depressing things.

This was the most depressing film I've seen all year.

Try Seventh Continent...
