That's horrible. I could understand the nanites accidentally falling into the guy's mouth or something, but she might as well put a .44 Magnum into the poor saps mouth and pull'd the trigger.

I know it's a kid's movie, but her character should have been completely traumatized for killing a guy, even if he was evil.
There were a lot of things in this movie that seemed very *off* for a kids movie. That scene was one where my friends and I all made the universal sound of disbelief. It's kind of a "Hwah?!" noise.
The bisarre relationship between the main character and his adult female CIA handler also comes to mind. That locker room scene?!?
I'd been thinking "if this were a Bond movie instead of a kid's flick, the bad guy would get one of those ice cubes in his mouth and be eaten from the inside" then just a few seconds later it actually happened.

When that section of the film came on and I watched her cross the platform and just SHOVE that cube into his mouth I just thought "WAY TO GO NATALIE!" I thought it was HILARIOUS. And I thought it was nice to have the female lead "ice" (Pardon the pun) the villian instead of the hero or male lead doing it. Natalie wasn't the typical damsel in distress. Yeah, Cody needed to save her a few times but she was still strong and fought back.

This was written as a teenage fantasy, and I think they did it wonderfully. Yes, teenagers do fantasize about extremes, especially if for a good cause. This guy kidnapped her. This guy attempted to hill her, exactly the same way she killed him. She even appeared traumatized as she realized he was actually going to die. The scene was to show she was equal on some regards to Cody, and was 'trouble' as Franswa had told him.
Great teenage fantasy, positive message! Save the world!
Did you guys see the look on her face when she did it? It was pure evil, that girl wa messed up. She was all gleeful!

That's exactly what ruined that part in the movie. She should've had FURIOUS look on her face instead of an all-gleeful face. That would've made more sense.
