I like Maid in Manhattan a tiny bit better

When I saw Maid in Manhattan (which I had to see because I think romantic comedy is fast becoming my favorite kind of movie), I went in their thinking, "Another sucky J-Lo movie." Imagine my surprise when I found myself liking it. Why? Because whomever was in a scene with J-Lo tended to steal the scene -- the little kid, Ralph, the other maids. Plus, Stanley Tucci was hysterical. BUT, she wasn't bad. I must say that it was the first time I saw J-Lo acting and I couldn't tell she was acting (which has annoyed me to no end in the past). So, I was surprised at that. The movie over all was good and I liked it very much. I left the movie feeling that everything that could have been done with the movie was done.

Sandra Bullock and Hugh Grant -- 2 of my favorite actors hands down (I wonder if I can have Hugh's love child). My problem with the movie, I have seen Sandy crazier and funnier. Hugh was flawless! But it was almost like Sandy held back and let the other actors shine (being producer and all). Imagine what she could have done if she did more with her parents' characters (I mean, Robert Klein was wasted). It wasn't a bad movie and I enjoyed but overall, I enjoyed Maid in Manhattan a smidgen (do people still say that) more.

Maid in Manhattan was definitely the better movie. More sympathetic characters.
