Best performance in the film?

I found myself worried before viewing this. Normally when you put together such a great group of top rate actors the film tanks. Bobby had everything a great film needs exceptional writing and great performances. As for me I personally found myself completely mesmorized with Demi Moore in this film. While I have not ever really been a huge fan of hers, she did a magnificent job as the boozy singer Virginia Fallon. I also thought that Sharon Stone was great in this giving her best performance since Casino. But there were many notable performances specifically from Anthony Hopkins, Laurence Fishbourne and Freddy Rodriguez. Anyone else care to weigh in on this?

I'm not sure why everyone's surprised by lohan being a great actress, i've always found her to give great performances, but personally i think the mexican guy who gave his tickets up was great in this but lohan was also good and nick cannon!

I'm inclined to agree. I really really reeeeeally dislike Lohan as a celebrity/public figure, but she has turned out some decent performances in the past (Mean Girls, The Parent Trap, etc). Having said that she's become so renound for things other than her acting, and movie choices like I Know Who Killed Me definitely didn't help her reputation.

I thought Lohan was very likable in this. Also enjoyed Shia's performance, Sharon's and Freddy's.

Sharon Stone really impressed me

I really think that Anthony Hopkins was amazing in this film, the look on his face at the end when he is told that senetor kennedy has been shot is what gets me every time.
But apart from that I agree with everyone else, demi moore and sharon stone are great.

Demi Moore and Sharon Stone.

Now, put 'em together.

Freddy Rodriguez was great as well, and Anthony Hopkins and Helen Hunt deserve a mention.

Nick Cannon's performance broke my heart... He really captured the despair.
Didn't really think he would be any good (he's was bad in Drum Line for example), but I was really impressed.

Sharon Stone is the only reason to watch this movie. I always knew she was totally underrated as an actress because of BI. Her performance is brilliant, wheras the film in itself is just dreadful. I adore Anthony Hopkins, he's like my fave actor but I don't understand why his performance in this piece of *** should be notable? Oh, and I really liked the fact that Helen Hunt got shot in the end(no hard feelings). Could've happened earlier.

I also believe Lindsay Lohan is a great actress in general but her performance in this really was exceptional. Her and Sharon Stone were great. Shia did well too but he plays his characters kinda the same in every movie.

not to sound corny. but i had this movie on ive seen like half of it before. so i was like ill just put this on cause i didnt see the whole thing but ill change it in a lil bit. but i really just got drawn in.Everyone does a good job. even nick cannon who i have a personal problem with. see the trick is making everyday characters intriguing. christian slater i thought did this cause there wasent much to his character but for some reason i was very interested in it. but i thought freddy and lawrence scenes were the best. big ups to good acting.

Downright embarassing I've realised only now that wasn't Jay Hernandez! Freddy Rodriguez was great. Never liked Demi Moore but her role is a bit autobiographical, I suppose, and I like it. I loved all performances, even a usually wonky LaBeuf's.
