Did you all watch teh same movie I did?

Teh Dialog was horrible. The Movie was not even about Bobby till 1:40. then we had to be dragged though charectors we didn'y care about. 1:40 in the movie so way too long to watch good actor give horrible lines. This is one of the worst movies ever.

I liked this movie. I don't think it's going to be one of my favorites, but I did like it. I don't think the purpose of the movie was to tell the story of Bobby Kennedy's life; for that matter I don't think we were meant to gather a deep understanding of each and every other character in it. I viewed all the different story lines as snapshots into the sixties and the lives that might have been lived at the time. And despite the fact that I didn't feel particularly close to any one of these characters, I felt as much grief for them as I did for Bobby Kennedy by the end of the movie.

LOL aside from making fun of the original poster's spelling, I'd encourage anyone to check here to see what a movie is about before watching it. I've wanted to see this movie for awhile and I knew it was about the random characters that happened to be there that day or take part in the campaign. I thoroughly enjoyed the movie, I did not find it boring or confusing, it was exactly as I had read about it.

Agreed monique

I heard it was about people who were there that night, but i was utterly shocked to find out most of them had also been victims of the shooting as well, i had never known more people other then Bobby Kennedy were shot that night.

Great movie. Shot well. Freddy was the best.

Oh the hilarity that to like the Kennedys means you are ignorant. Some people (myself included) like the Kennedys partly because of their imperfections, not despite of them. I've read and own many Kennedy literature so find the idea of ignorance laughable and plain rude. To all those who find the Kennedys so intolerable, which of you are perfect yourselves? Those without sin cast the first stone and all that.

Plus how their father made his riches has squat all to do with JFK and RFK and their moral fibre. I don't control my Dad's career, to be honest I don't even know exactly what his job description would entail, but it's not my business particularly and shouldn't dictate whether I am a decent person or not simply by what my relative does. To deem JFK and RFK as lesser men because of their father's actions is ridiculous and, ironically, ignorant.

The movie was about the effect that Bobby had on the world. Didn't you notice how much changed when he entered the story? The point was 'Bobby's America'. There are so many documentaries out there about the Kennedy's this was about the people. About what he inspired

I watched the same movie and I was riveted and moved!

Did you even read the description of the movie before watching it?

The story of the assassination of U.S. Senator Robert F. Kennedy who was shot in the early morning hours of June 5, 1968 in the Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles,
AND THE 22 PEOPLE IN THE HOTEL WHOSE LIVES WERE NEVER THE SAME.

Amazed by how many big names are in the cast, must be one of the biggest ensemble casts in any movie ever. As a movie buff that interested me and the dialogue was relevant to the times but maybe the 22 people's lives weren't that interesting but overall it was a good film in my opinion.

I think the OP is over harsh. I thought the film pretty good, but far from excellent. I expect Mr. Estevez grew up watching the same TV movies of the week that I did. One typical formula was to have a film about a bad event and draw portraits of all the persons whose lives are changed by the event. I recall one in particular about a huge pile up accident on Interstate 5 in California or something like like. The formula is inherently limited and superficial - as they just paint a quick portrait of a bunch of people's lives, and really it is just to dramatize the event. A better example of this formula was the original disaster film, Airport. This one wasn't so bad, but I agree with what someone wrote, that it was skewed by too much adoration of the title character. Just like JFK presents JFK as some sort of prince who would have saved us from the 60's, including Vietnam, (which is ahistorical nonsense) that is what this film does with Bobby.
