Cutty was kind of creepy.

What was wrong with that dude? He was always somewhere lurking around, drooling over Mike and just staring at the kid. I know he wanted to train him but why did he have to be all creepy about it? This dude just got out of jail after being there for years and those ladies were practically throwing themselves at him but he couldn't even pay them any attention for drooling over Mike and lurking behind punching bags and crap staring at him but he's suppose to be straight. Who does that? I don't blame Mike for trying to avoid being alone with his weirdo ass. Ain't no telling what he would've done if he got him alone, long enough.

I woke up this way...

Cutty was interested in the mommas. Not their boys. Mike had been traumatized and trusted no adult male.

He killed sixteen Czechoslovakians. Guy was an interior decorator.

That's hilarious. Its like you watched a completely different show.

Lol wtf? That's not the same show that I watched. In no way did Cutty ever come off as creepy or a child predator, he was a genuinely good dude and a changed person who was trying to help the kids and the community.

The ONLY character throughout the whole series who ever came off as a creep or child predator was Mike's dad (who obviously did something to him as a child).

have you been sexually molested when you were a child?

the only mind that processed Cutty like that was that of fictional character Michael. Cutty was a standup guy who landed a prime piece of lady by the series end.

I think at times they tried to portray him from Michael's perspective - and on 2nd viewing, when you know why Michael has this attitude, you can see how it can come across as creepy. The bit when he sort of leans on his shoulder while talking to him when watching the sparring, and Michael literally shrugs him off in disgust. And the bit when he's talking to him at the mirror, and he says something like "yes, I do love the ladies" - such a weird thing to say, as if trying to overcompensate.
We've already seen enough of Cutty throughout Season 3 and at other times in Season 4 to know that he's a stand up guy and certainly not a predator. Michael hasn't though, and whenever Michael's at the gym, it'll show Cutty saying and doing things that could be misinterpreted. And like I say, especially on repeat viewings, when you know more about Michael's story, it's like "no wonder Michael's creeped out".
That's the genius of the show that I hadn't even noticed before until I read this thread.
