Instant Swamp, Turtles Are Surprisingly Fast Swimmers, Funuke, Dasepo Naughty Girls, the Dead or Alive trilogy, and particularly Kamikaze Girls and Cutie Honey. The Three Windows label have loads of this stuff, all delightfully offbeat and nuts. Sorry, Third Window films.

I think "Princess Raccoon" is an interesting pairing - it's a Seijun Suzuki film from 2005 that is a musical, and is quite whimsical. It differs of course in aesthetic as it's primarily filmed on theater sets (but what sets they are). Give it a shot, it's a great film!

Hausu, a very funny over the top horror film with similiar bad-anmated effects. I think youll certainly enjoy it :-)

Funny that no-one mentioned The Quiet Family, as this flick is based on that movie (which was made by a very capable and popular Korean director btw).
