This could be the greatest movie ever...

...but I'll never know, because I switched it off after eight minutes (including titles). Smug, "beautiful" people sitting around spouting "witty" aphorisms, trendy wobble-cam...life's too short and there are too many movies out there that I WOULD enjoy to waste my time on this.

Well, that goes to shw that pacience is a great treat that you definetly don't have.

Cheers.

It's too bad, though, and I agree - the beginning is the part that I like the least.

But you should give the rest of the movie a shot.

reply

Only a mug wouldn't give a film more than 8 minutes to impress.

The film is better for not having morons like yourself attempt to understand it's class.

reply

That's funny because the beginning is my favorite part. I found the character witty and attractive, not so much afterward. Which is interesting, because he isn't trying to pick anyone up in the first scene. So I want more of that character in other situations.

reply

If life is so short, why are you on a message board dogging some movie you've never seen like anyone cares about your opinion? Hypocrite much?

reply

This could've been the greatest comment ever, but I left halfway through readi

You're missing out. The first few minutes were off putting, the smug lead actor gets on your nerves, but every minute is better than the prior and by the 15 minute mark it's great.

reply

I disagree, though I do mildly like the film (6/10). The problem is that it started out too far in the cynical, dark side and then really lost its nerve and overcorrected, getting all soft and sentimental by the end. Both ends of the spectrum were unrealistic and cliched, and we only fitfully saw the sweet spot in between.

The problem with BishopBrennan is that he thinks this movie doesnt deserve to be watched by him, when in fact BishopBrennan doesnt deserve this movie

IMDB: A place where the word "relativism" doesn`t mean much

Actually he's right, this movie stinks.

reply

Nope, that's just twilight distorting your view on the real world.

You're a waste of space in front of a screen.
