Similar films? And why the bad sex scene?

Does anyone know similar films, with similar plot? Preferably post 2000s - present (not old films).

Also, why did they decide to include a sex scene in the film, between Eminem and Brittany Murphy, if it was a terrible and pointless sex scene anyway? Why did Brittany Murphy's character wanted to have a 'quickie' with Eminem's character, if she wasn't going to pursue a relationship with him? It makes little to no sense at all!

Haven't you heard the phrase 'gratutious sex'? It's pretty common in movies.

I think Hustle & Flow? I think Terrance Howard was the star.

If you’re looking for similar rap music-based movies, there aren’t too much. 8 Mile is sorta unique.

If you look for rags to riches theme, go back to Rocky. A lot of critics compared 8 Mile to Rocky.
