I don't understand the end yet. (Spoiler)

Almost at the end Gabe seems to be the killer because he attacks Sara.
But later Lucas show all the devices and recognizes to be the killer.

Why did Gabe act that way?
The Wikipedia says he thought Sara was the killer but this doesn't explain why Gabe shooted Lucas previously and why he fights again against Lucas after attacking Sara.

I think the scriptwriter tries to complicate things unnecessarily.

Why nobody saw the killer preparing the traps?

It looked like a screw-up by the filmmakers. As if they filmed so many different endings to the movie that they literally forgot which one they eventually went with.

A sane person would not have acted the way Gabe did, regardless of if he believed Sara was the killer or not.

Gabe didn't shoot Lucas. Lucas had rigged his vest to make Sara think Gabe HAD shot him .

Evidence of this, is?

reply

What? Rigged his vest?... Even though that has no explanation in the movie, That would be plausible if the movie was clever throughout and just messed up the ending... But... I believe it was just really bad writing. The movie has such a bad script it just makes sense the ending is as bad as the rest of the movie.... No logic at all......

Okay, thank you SO much! I just finished the movie a few minutes ago and was like, "What the fuck was that with Gabe??" It seemed like such a huge red herring that made no sense at all -- like he just guns this guy down, after playing nice the whole time, then goes to try and kill Sarah, and THEN she and he are all friendly on the way home? The fuck?

Your explanation makes sense of it all, though. Sarah thinks Gabe shot Lucas, while Gabe thinks Sarah shot Lucas, etc.
When Lucas was pulling out all of the cords from his jacket and talking about remotes and stuff, I thought he just meant the other traps he set. Damn, thank you again!

It wouldn't of made sense for it to be Gabe or Sara, they were both shooting at the dummys at the end of the movie, which confused me because I thought Lucas was killed.

Yeah.

It wouldn't of made sense
You're kidding, right?

I don't love her.. She kicked me in the face!!

The other day I saw someone write "kind've", and I just wanted to scream.

When the 3 watches all came up at the same time, they just all panicked and went out into the street guns a blazin and it seemed like it was every man for himself. I think Gabe was just in survival mode at that point, as was Sarah. He never did the typical evil villain thing where they confess and tell us their master plan, so I figured he was just smug because he thought between Sarah and Lucas he had whacked the bad guy and was just happy to be the last person standing.

Also, when they confronted each other she thought he had gotten turned down by the FBI so that must be his motive for revenge and he said that he couldn't figure out how she even got in, so they were both still skeptical that the other was legit.

Anyway, Sarah was smokin hot.

I'm pretty sure Gabe thought Sara killed Lucas. Lucas even screamed her name shortly before he was shot. You can later also see how he is pulling out the cables from his rigged vest when Lucas is talking to Sara about how nifty remotes and stuff are. So that's why Gabe was so hostile towards Sara.

It also fits because there was a lot of blood when Lucas supposedly got shot that would not have been there if he was just shot in the vest. But he needed that blood to convince Gabe he was acutally dead.

That's correct, the only difference is the audiences perspective, we know sara didn't do we assume gabe did (as you would). They both think each other is the killer. If Gabe is being a bit smug it's just his knowledge that he's found the killer and he can tell how scared she is (although that's because she thinks he's the killer)
