You should also like this adaptation. They feel very similar to me. Some very good threads and some not so much. I feel the 2003 film really nailed the DD thread. Yeah there are obvious cheese threads. I agree some of the obviously bad scenes are obviously bad. Im cant defend them. But there is also an equal measure of good filmmaking and storytelling.
