I've been known to put myself down with regards to looks. Such as "I'm not a ten but I do attract good looking men". I was once involved with a guy who only dated models and asked him "why pick me?". His response was that he could have a conversation with me, take me to places that his old gf's wouldn't dare try (rock climbing, dive bars, etc), and that he could relate better with me.
I always took it that Brock enjoyed B.J.s fun side which you hardly got from Reba along with perhaps Reba was always taking care of the kids so he felt like he no longer had that initial romance they had from the beginning.
