Isn't this show called 'Medical Examiners' ?

I swear, the adds they show for it on TV here say it's called 'Medical Examiners' and not 'Crossing Jordan'

Boy meets girl, boy gets stupid, boy and girl live stupidly ever after

It's possible...often shows don't have the same name when they are broadcast in different regions or countries.

I go online sometimes, but everyone's spelling is really bad. It's...depressing.

To make things less transparent, in the Netherlands the show was first called Crossing Jordan and later Medical Examiners. Why? I have no idea whatsoever!

reply

I just figured the name got changed to make it more transparent what the show was about to pull more viewers. Loved the show when it first aired and was just watching The good wife where I saw Jill Hennessy and made me think of this show so paused the ep to check the board for this. Kind of disappointing, but not weird for a show that's not running anymore.

reply

Yeah, I don't know why.

I've been watching "The Artful Detective" on my local cable system; but it was only recently that I discover the series name is "The Murdock Mysteries."

reply

Been watching and enjoying the show in syndication. I never gave it a chance back in the day cause it had the stupid name Crossing Jordan. What even is that? If it was called Medical Examiners, I would have tuned in and checked it out.

This is actually in syndication today?

reply

Yeah, it's on one of them expansion digital broadcast channels. Something called "starttv". They show it in a block with Medium and Ghost Whisperer. They air lots of early 2000s shows.

reply

They air lots of early 2000s shows.

Hmmm.... I don't suppose they're airing 24 also. There's a series that's been all but forgotten, in a relatively short time

reply

Yeah, 24 is a favorite show of mine. But it's kind of like the world wants to sweep that one under the rug. It's completely counter to current year agenda.

reply

In this case, for once The Woke Rampage isn't to blame. Nick Schou's explanation for 24 being sidelined out of public consciousness.... The War On Terror hasn't exactly been a smashing success, and the show is a reflective of a time when we all really believed that if we just had a super-op with a license to use any means he believed to be righteous, everyone could eventually live happily ever after. It's tough to square that with reality today
