shareIn the original, in a way you play as either a few people and you get to name them. Unfortunately I haven't completed it yet, i'm pretty much at the start. I always get lost in the Nali village near the start.
To me, the original is more of a proper adventure game.
Unreal 2 is just go to different levels collecting artefacts, killing aliens and creatures. Not much to it. It could've been much better than it was. But still it's enjoyable.
in the original your prisoner 859 and you go through several beautiful worlds until you reach the skaarj mothership which has a probe type vessel in it which you escape in but it runs out of fuel as it leaves the atmosphere and that's how it ends.
btw does anyone know where i can download the expansion pack to unreal?

That's actually Prisoner 849 and you're on Na Pali the entire playable time. The world is absolutely beautiful in Direct3D11 4K HD even 23 years later and is fully supported by the mod community.
