Bad management at 'A+E'

I viewed two episodes on Italian TV several years ago.
I liked it at once, as many avid Nero Wolfe fans worldwide.
I am since waiting for a DVD edition encoded for region 2.
I have written e-mails to A&E many times, without getting
any answer.
I wonder where I can find the stuff...
Anybody got any suggestions?

DVD drives on computers let you change the region setting 6-8 times before it gets locked down. You could buy the region 1 set, copy it on your computer from one drive set at region 1 to another drive set as region 2. Friends did that several years ago with a couple of British TV series that weren't available in the US until later.

... or if you come across this situation frequently, you could consider buying a region-free (AKA "region zero") DVD player. They are (at least in the US) commonly available nowadays, and many are quite affordable.

Some years back, the region-free players were suppressed by the industry, for the same reason that the region system was imposed in the first place -- to prevent people from watching movies or shows that had not yet been released in their area. But now they seem to be focusing those efforts on the newer Blu-ray technology, thus freeing up the international DVD market.
