Yeah he was hot in the movie as I recall but in the book it was pretty creepy how they slept together first horrible for Astrid to do that and mess up her foster family and secondly very bad of him to clearly be taking advantage of her. Though she was attracted to the character in the book as I recall he was older and not described as that hot.

Ray was very good looking but he was much older than Astrid and not on her level. I was happy with who she ended up with

So the logic that's making up this discussion for the most part is that a teenage girl and a grown ass man should totally be allowed to "fall in love" and be with each other as long as both parties are consenting and the older man is attractive*?

*Which I'm sorry the actor in this movie is not attractive at all but that's my opinion.

Okay then...so we need to get this law on the books because then at least the pedo's will at least start working out to look better for the teenage girls they want to attract.
