Did anyone actually enjoy this movie?

I liked this movie! I thought it was quite good. We don't have "twisters" in Australia so I'm always fascinated to see one in action, even if it is computer generated. I thought the special effects were quite good for a simple TVM. Did anyone else not hate this movie? Pretty much everyone who's posted on this board thinks it's crap.

I recently saw it on the Sci-Fi Channel and was rather impressed. It wasn't anything spectacular, but it was a hell of a lot better than most made-for-TV movies, especially the "original" Sci-Fi Channel productions. I liked it; it's a great "popcorn" movie, the kind of film that is best enjoyed at three o'clock in the morning when no one else is around and you're drunk, talking to the cat.

I enjoyed it the part that really enjoyed me was the discussion to shut the reactors down before they where locked in in 3 minutes. It was ridiculest they spend 2 - 2.5 minutes discussing then take action.
And in the end where all the firemen hose their water in the bassin. Isn't that room radioactive?

Yeah I have to say I enjoyed this movie. That was once I'd switched my brain off and didn't think about factual errors and anything else that was wrong with it. It was a nice relaxing way to spend a few hours without having to think about things. To be honest I think the critics are overanalysing it. At the end of the day it's a movie. It's not pretending to be real or factual. It's just a way of relaxing for me anyway.

I enjoyed it too. Hell, I've seen it three times already, latest being today. It's just a little "harmless fun". I never expected it to be realistic, or even close. There's no huge unexpected plot twists or fantastic character development... so what? Didn't expect those either. I got what I expected, a bit of simple entertainment. Not every movie needs to be mindblowing.

Just watched this on Syfy tonight.
Its not the worst film they have ever shown so I would give Atomic Twister a 5.

I thought the part where Corinne was telling Jake to keep Campbell safe was heartwarming. Special effects were good. The movie was well acted and tense which for me is a good movie. Sharon Lawrence did great on her role as a working woman and a mom. I also liked how Jake's experience as a young boy who saw his mother being swept up in a tornado was woven throughout the movie.

My only problem was the major plot hole concerning Corinne finding Stu's body at the door and then there is not mention of what happened to it. When the police officer comes after the first tornado, why did he not see the body? Did they bury it or put it somewhere? If they contacted someone to take it away, why not let the viewers know? They let us know he died and the characters were hurt from it. Why not finish by saying what happened to the body? Would have made more sense to have a second tornado come and then the police officer shows up and doesn't find the body. You might reasonably assume it was carried away then.
