Favourite song? Why not..

I'm breaking my own rule and listing two. Okay so I don't actually have a rule. Just state your favourite song or songs.

1 - Confrontation
2 - Dangerous Game

I know a lot of people loooove This is the Moment, Once Upon a Dream, Someone Like You...great songs no doubt, but I really enjoy the two I listed.

Anyone else? My this is an active board...

Good n Evil. That song was exciting, has good choreography, and Coleen Sexton was just simply hot!

In no particular order:

- "In His Eyes" (the ending of that song...wow...my jaw drops every time)

- "Alive! (reprise)" (one of the best Act I Finales I've ever seen/heard. I prefer Warlow's version though...such an invigorating song)

- "The Way Back" (powerful and tragic - even after all that's happened he still believes he can save his father)

- "Your Work - And Nothing More" (such a hauntingly beautiful song; what harmonies)

- "Confrontation" (really, the whole show builds up to this point...shame Hasslehoff blew it)

- "Finale" (not really a song, per se, but those final instrumentals that play after Emma gives her solo - the ones that evoke the melody of Jekyll's prayer in "The Way Back" - tugs at my heartstrings every time.)

In no particular order:

Dangerous Game
In His Eyes
This is the Moment (Cuccioli version. Really inspiring song)
Alive (the Warlow version. I actually got scared when I listened to it the first time)
Bring on the Men
Someone like You (I love the way Linda Eder sings this song. Really heartfelt & beautiful)
A New Life
The World has Gone Insane
Confrontation (both Warlow & Cuccioli versions)
Transformation
Murder Murder (Broadway version)
Obsession
The Way Back

As for Hasselhoff, I've only seen his performances on YouTube. I wasn't impressed, nor do I care. And based on the reviews I've been reading here, I was smart not to get the DVD.

Confrontation and This is the Moment. This is the Moment makes me think of how I'm gonna be when my dream role becomes mine.

Confrontation because it is so much fun going back and forth, from good to evil to back.

Someone Like You, without question. It is the song that started it all for me, both my love of the musical and music in general. Linda Eder's voice is what inspired me to be a singer. 9 years after hearing it for the first time, I'm a voice student of Linda's and have worked on the song with her. My personal favorite version is the 1990 version, which has alternate lyrics in the second verse: "It's like you took my dreams, made each one real. You reached inside of me and made me feel." It's so meaningful to me. :)
