does anyone here ride??


hey, since everyone likes watching this show, i was wondering if anyone took the passion for horses to real life. does anyone ride? if so, what style??
(hunter,jumper,eventing, cross country, dressage, reining...etc.)

I ride (pity the saddle club can't lol). English. Dressage, jumper, hunter, hacking, eventing.

i've been riding for ten years (5-15) and i ride westren. i did jumping 3 times and the last time i feel and hit my head (nothing serious) and since then my parents wont let me do it again (although im ready) *rolls eyes*. but yea i dont have my own horse yet but i been buggin my parents about it and they say maybe when i'm 16 (in 5 months and 9 days) so im keeping my fingers crossed!!

I've been lurking on this board for, oh, the past five minutes. :) But I felt obligated to post.

I've been riding for seven years as of this month. I ride English, and I'm currently learning to jump. I've gotten up to 2'3", but my instructor says I can go higher. In my lessons I ride an awesome little dun pony who is full of energy and will do anything (except she thinks the corners are pony eating monsters).

Outside of lessons, I ride Standardbreds on a regular basis, and they're my favorite breed. They can do so much more than pace around pulling a cart. STBs have great personalities, too, and they're an awesome breed. Go get one, seriously. Haha.

I ride a little English. My wife Sara was an Equestrian show jumping champion in her home State of Vermont and was on the University of Vermont eqestrian jumping team. she still dose jumping when she can find time.
