Forgive me if this is a dumb question, my military knowledge isn’t very extensive, but if they were running low on ammo why didn’t they just pick up the enemy AK47s?
Also I’ve always wondered let’s say after we won the battle what did we typically do with the enemy weapons? I mean I would gather them up and then use them.
Your regular soldier is not usually cross trained in the use of enemy weapons --- After a win captured weapons were usually destroyed
Right but at the same time if you are running out of ammo it seems like using an enemy weapon is better than using nothing. And an AK 47 isn’t that hard to figure out
shareProbably so, ---- Don't really think the AK was that prevalent, as it shows in the movie, And thatch what some vets told me The SKS was though, and a very good weapon
shareYeah I’m just a civilian who has never been in the military, I own an AR-15, AR-18, and an AK-47, if someone like me can figure out how to use them then a trained soldier sure as hell can.
