I mean really what 13 year old can do that? Perfectly blonde dye job, no dark roots, dread locks, colourful hair extentions, complicated hair styles that no one can do to their own hair! Even if we're supposed to believe that lizzie woke up at 5 am everyday to sort her hair out, she couldnt have any of these styles without the help of a professional hair artist!

I don't know that the blonde was meant to convey a dye job. It's never mentioned, but I think we are to assume that was her natural haircolor.

Exactly. We are meant to assume Lizzie is actually blonde, whereas now that I'm older, it's so obvious her hair is dyed. Kind of sad, really...

shareI don't think it's realistic for everyone but there are YouTube channels where mom's style their daughters hair, and it looks pretty professional. There are also channels where the children do it themselves and they do funky braids and stuff.
I actually loved Hilary's highlights in the series. I think she's naturally blonde but they put highlights in as the series progressed. Her hair looked absolutely beautiful in the movie, and then unfortunately after the series ended, she bleached it. She had it bleach blonde for a while but now it's sort of back to normal.

Hilary Duff was not a natural blonde,she had dark brown roots for God sakes! It was obviously dyed a golden blonde and had highlights put in. I had my hair dyed like that and it looked just like hers.
