most netflix type movie (pre netflix)

I just realised the look of the poster and from what I recall of seeing it 20y ago (on dvd) it could be the most Netflix movie before there was Netflix (i.e. its the kind of movie netflix would make now with big movie stars, lots of non superhero/scifi action, dosnt necessarily need to be seen on big screen) if that makes sense
