The fishes were quite rude to Marlin

What strikes me with this movie is frankly how unfriendly most of the fishes are. Practically majority of the characters strictly refuses to help Marlin to find Nemo and some of them are downright rude to him. With the exception of Dory and the pelicans, Marlin is unfortunate enough to just encounter fishes that are mostly rude or dangerous (with the exception of the fishes who turns into different characters, but they were only persuaded by Dory). I felt genuinely sorry for Marlin, having practically few who were willing to help him.

Well, the rudeness of that ball of fish with the New York accents doesn’t surprise me. New Yorkers ARE rude.

But the stoned SURFER turtles with the San Fernando accent were nicer than real surfers who tend to be psycho locals with an attitude problem.

Or maybe the San Onofre assholes I had the displeasure of running into back in the ‘80s were just exceptionally asshole-ish.

Really? I haven't been in New York, but those New Yorkers I've met have been quite nice, actually.
