Did anyone else cry?

For some reason, I cried when Molly and Ray got off teacups and at the end. Did anyone else cry?

I do get tears in my eyes when I watch this movie. The tea cups scene is certainly a tear jerker and so is the film's ending. Mostly, I feel very sad that Brittany Murphy died last year. Such a georgeous women with so much life in her; it's hard to believe she is gone. If her boyfriend is correct, she died primarily from a loss of self esteem. She was beautiful and she could act well, and, I thought she played marvelous characters even in not so good movies. Watching her and the end of this movie does break me up.

I cried a little during the teacups scene, when Ray was talking to her dad & when they revealed he died, & during the ending at the recital. It was such a cute movie & Brittany Murphy was so cute in it! May she rest in peace, she was taken to us too soon...

The tea cups scene was okay for me at first until they got off and Ray started hitting Molly, then she suddenly stopped and hugged her really hard. That was when the tears started :'(

I didn't cry. But I felt so sorry for Ray's character because she had just lost her father. When her father passed away, she was pretty much the same age that Molly was when her parents died all those years ago. It must be awful to lose a parent. Luckily, my parents are still alive and I hope they will be for years to come. I was diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome as a child and find life a challenge, so I often wonder how I will cope when they are gone. I know I will be okay, though :) Ray was angry with Molly because she had promised Ray that her father was less likely to die if she talked to him. Ray hit Molly after going on the tea cups because she felt she had lost her trust towards Molly after the promise she made, her father wasn't coming back and her mother never paid her any attention at home. Her life wasn't how she wanted it to be, even though she was so young. I think Ray stopped hitting Molly because she realised that Molly thought a lot more of her than her own mother, who didn't even bother looking for her when she was missing and appeared to hardly ever spend any time with her daughter because she was busy with more 'important' things.

What does everyone else think? X

When Molly has to sell her dad's guitars, she says, "This everything that he's left behind in the whole world. This is my Dad." Gets me every time.

I always cry at the teacups scene, and when Molly confesses to Ray that she's scared.

Oh yeah. When we find out who bought Molly's guitars I STILL break down in tears. One of the most romantic moments in movies.

I also tear up when Ray tries to beat up Molly....
