How is it possible?!?!

How can more people have rated this film a 10 than have rated it 1? how can more people have rated it 9 than rated it 2? What am I missing here? I thought this was one of the most God-awful pieces of crap I have ever seen (In fact, I rate this as the worst film I've seen, with all due respect to the Director and writer). The script was cliched and dull, Michelle Rodriguez's character was excruciating to watch, and apart from a few technical achievements, there was nothing positive I could find in this film at all.

If anyone wants to show me why I'm wrong, please do. I'd love to know what I'm not seeing in this film that other people are enjoying...

This movie is just terrible. It was written and scored as if it were embracing the total cheese of everything SWAT, but acted and lit as if it were sincere. Watch the scene where Street catches his girlfriend moving out. Not only is the scene cliche, every line they say to each other is totally cliche. That can't be an accident. The writer had something in mind that the director, DP and producers missed. It could have been hilarious, bad fun instead of a painful waste of two hours. I love action movies - I even love bad action movies - but this was a clunker.

I thought SWAT was a fun movie! I'd watch it any day over gay as hell Avatar. Street would kick Jake Sully's sorry ass!

^ I agree, this film was entertaining as hell, and the characters were actually interesting and likable, which is rare in this sort of film. It should be around 6.7, not in the 5's.

It's a matter of balance. The film is closer to a 10 than a 1. It's just a fact. Not that I've rated this a 10 by anymeans but if you think it's truly a 1 I'd question wether you seen the truly terrible films that have been created.

Don't like what I'm saying? Then call 1800-Ima-CryBaby and ask for "Waaaaaa"

I'm sure some of it is nostalgia from the old 70s tv show. That was pretty campy as well.
