It's a classic adventure, sci-fi. these games never die, because you don't play it for it technical features like most of today games.

Great replay value.

I downloaded this a while ago, very fun but hard. Didn't know it was that old.

Yes! A great game, and one that you can download on... ugh... dial-up.
I loved the sci-fi theme, and the drawing was great.
They should make a movie of Beneath A Steel Sky, we need more sci-fi!

One of my all-time favourite games.

Since it has been released as freeware, I have downloaded it and completed it recently and by God is it hard. Took me ages to realise that there was a socket next to the crack in the old railway station.

The dialogue is superb and even the story is brilliant. I loved i when the game suddenly took a turn for the darker side out of nowhere (the lockers scene).

Go to the revolution website and theres a link to scummsv i think it is. then from there all u have to do is dl the scumm program to run it and then the b.a.s.s. files. only takes a few minutes. I hope this helps. I wish there were more games like this!!

you guys should all check out http://www.the-underdogs.info/!

it's a fantastic site full of oldschool games available for download... (no warez).

some games are not free and they tell you where to purchase them. but if you search by category (adventure, action, puzzle, etc..) you'll be surprised how many bad-ass games you could find...

populous, indy3, etc...

Thanks buddy!

A true sci-fi classic this game is! Absolutely fantastic storyline..! It's not only a game, but also a work of art. This one should be counted among respected sci-fi literature.

Roll on the sequel. I have just started it, it is quite tough. Love Joey's sarcasm!!!

Any news on a sequel? Or was that just wishful thinking?

A movie of BASS would really be something. But perhaps not 100% based on the story from the game. That would be a misstake. The BASS world should be 100% the same and the problem with LINC should be the main topic. But much more character development and many scenes from other characters point of view than that of Robert Fosters.

I remember buying this for the Amiga in a massive black cardboard box with a mindblowing 15 floppy disks!

Who'd of thought a sequel would come 30+ years later, Beyond a Steel Sky!
