Hey, does anybody know if the guy that wrote this movie is from Ohio or not, because this is exactly the way the goths in Ohio are. He is dead on. I find it hard to believe that anyone who wasn't from that area in Ohio could have come up with such a realistic vision. Wow!

i looked at the two writers listed for Gypsy 83, neither had any info on them :( i guess searching around the net might find the answers
yes todd stevens, the direcor, is from ohio, but i'm not so sure about the other guy, actuly theres a whole ohio trilogy, there in post production for the last one.

im friends with "the other guy" tim kaltenecker, and todd stephens grew up in sandusky, and lived there, but tim didnt
shareya, he is from Sandusky, OH (my hometown). I have hung out with his brother a few times. In fact I remember being in the seventh grade when there was fliers everywhere saying they were going to be filming a movie around the area which ended up being edge of seventeen.
shareEdge of Seventeen is a masterpiece compared to this film (which shockingly came after). No idea what happened!
