shareI give it a 10
shareI give this Movie a 10 ---even though I am a Ex-Mormon......and will never again be an active Mormon....or claim to be one....This Movie was just "Beautifully made"... and is heart touching...not because it involved a Mormon Missionary but because of this mans fervant Sincere love for others... And I just found myself watching it with tears in my eyes......maybe because I wish I had found one such Mormon who had as much sincere Love and compassion for others as John Groberg.....It might have made a huge difference in the life of one abused Mormon girl...who always felt like a mistake God and her parents had made..... There needs to be many more Sincere Loving people in this world reaching out to the lost hopeless,Hungry, fatherless...needy....but alas we are in perilous times that The Bible talks about in Timothy....and all Religious people are becoming cold and Numb because the love of many has waxed cold....No wonder it says the road to Heaven is strait and narrow and few there be that find it.....
shareI give this movie a 10 totally.
Nicholas Devereaux: Rapunzel, Rapunzel, with hair so fine. Come out your window, climb down the vine.
Mia Thermopolis: The feat you ask, dear sir, isn't easy. And I won't respond to that line, it's far too cheesy.

terrible movie... trying to be a drama... however it was unbelievable and inaccurate..... you also have to love the fact that all New Zealand actors are playing South Sea Islanders..... and the way the movie was targeted (and it's biases) easily illustrates how audiences are happy with inaccurate story-lines and depictions as long as it has a user-friendly script..... I'd have to say that this is the worst (and culturally offensive) movie I have ever seen....

The movie isn't racist. In fact, the white guy was the outsider, anyways. And also, this was a true story, and anything racist in it would be because IT TOOK PLACE IN THE 1950s. Civil rights hadn't really overcome everything yet.
Anyways, it's a great movie. Only an 8/10 for me but it's still REALLY good.
And they hardly do anything in it specifically LDS. I mean, they don't read scripture from the Book of Mormon or anything. In fact, they don't even really mention he's Mormon until halfway through the movie!
Not offensive at all.
