shareRay needs more than physical healing. I thought Dr. Beamer showing up in the same dream with his late wife and daughter was painful. Dr. Beamer seems to be a classic DiCillo heroine: beautiful, too smart for macho men but kooky. The bread-throwing scene was perfect (and really goes against Leary's public image as a smoker). But if you're asking if I think she had sex with him to fix his back, the answer is I don't. Although she's showing him how to do back treatments just before they have sex, their sex is symbolic of greater emotional needs they have.
