how accurate is this?

just bought the dvd and im upto episode 7 and im just wondering how accurate is it to the behind the scenes antics of 90210

i know darren star created both shows (i dnt know for sure but i think he left 90210 mid way through) and he stated that sometimes the antics backstage were occasionally more interesting than the show itself, so he created this show parodying 90210 and the actors

so i just want to know whether the stars of 90210 actually acted similar to this on set, or whether its just extremely exagerated to high levels.

im looking forward to seeing sarah michelle gellar and jason priestly

I'm betting some parts are accurate like Gabrielle Carteris was in her 30's playing a teen & Luke Perry was bald. It's known that Doherty was brattish on set & I remember the tabloid pics of her exiting clubs & bars with known celeb druggies.

It's funny, but I'm rewatching some old 90210 eps - the Shannon Doherty era & Grosse Pointe is so spot on with the parody details that it's cracking me up all over again! Like the 80's high pitched melodramatic bass guitar that plays whenever something bad happens in the show, the boom mic that keeps showing on top of most scenes & the girls walking down the high school hall.

Luke Perry had a pet pig for a while and was older than a 'teenager' in real life.

Plus if you look at the episodes of 90210--his character's hair changes.

According to the news now (after his death) he was 25 when Beverly Hills 90210 began. No, not a teenager but I still love him anyways.
