Girlfriends was actually on a lot longer than it should have been. Bad writing, bad acting, and extremely irritating unlike able negative characters. I'm surprised how many people love this show.

I think Half&Half was much better than this schlock.

@Trang I wasn't a big fan of this show at all. I watched some episodes here and there I wasn't a die hard fan of the show like I am with Living Single.

Half & Half is a good show I think that should come back on air, CUTS (Marques Houston show) it seem dull but it was a good sitcom, EVE show I really think that show had potential and it was great seeing rapper EVE in a TV show.

The PJs I love that show I have the 3 seasons on DVD and I guess it was expensive because of the making of the clay figures and all.

cuts and eve were not good imo. Those shows seemed to come to life due to UPN catering to AA. I actually think GFS was their best sitcom. It was funny and well acted. i still laugh at the reruns. I also think My wife and kids was good until the end of season 4. It became too silly

reply

I didn't like Cuts but the first two seasons of Eve were pretty good.

My Wife and Kids became a parody of itself when Junior had a baby.

reply

They don't tolerate perfection because of attracting bad publicity along the way.

If Jill hadn't left, Girlfriends may have lasted a bit longer. There was also the writers strike in Season 8 that contributed to it as well. However, 8 Seasons, especially for an AA show with a predominantly female cast, is excellent. Especially since ratings didn't start to waver until after Toni left (Season 7).
