calling all acid users

a couple of questions

i have taken acid like 3 times in my life, but never more than one dose

after your "burn out" from the trip doesnt anyone else have problems sounding out words to the point that people have a hard time understanding you?

and also... whats up with the hallucinations the guy had in the movie? like with the snake and the naked chick from the painting... never had that... just the ripple/curved mirror effect on things... or does that happen when you take bigger doses?

I have a problem understanding life at all after I trip but never have really had a problem with other people trying to understand me. I haven't seen this movie but just recently I had the most intense trip of my life.. and let's just say talking birds wearing crowns were involved so yes, if you take the right dosage and have good enough LSD you will absolutely be hallucinating.

I have great faith in fools; self-confidence my friends call it.

This movie doesn't capture LSD accurately at all. It's been medically proven to be damaging for people with schizophrenia, or other existing underlying psycological problems. Other than that it's been scientifically proven to be one of the safest drugs known.

Don't take my word for it, or the random dude above. And especially not Harvard Man. Research the facts yourself.

I've had the full blown hallucinations while tripping balls on larger doses of acid (gel, not paper. Gel's better) but I'm also bipolar. That may have contributed to the hallucinations. I remember one time we were in the Jack n the Crack drive-thru and some of our friends were in the car in front of us. They looked like they had dinosaur heads, LOL. I was tripping in my car with some friends "babysitting" me and we were in the city park when I saw a bunch of chickens flying into the air followed by cops surrounding us. Turned out the chickens were real (a truck carrying chickens overturned on the highway and they flew all over the place) but the cops weren't. Then there was the time I was laying in my friend's bed in his camoflauge painted bedroom. It turned into a bad trip and I thought I was in Nam being chased by the enemies.

The best memory I have of tripping was sitting on the edge of a local car dealership parking lot talking to a tree. I was there for hours and it was wonderful. If all trips could be like that, I'd do acid again. Unfortunately I had too many bad trips and I'll never gain touch it. 3 bad trips was my limit.

Also ones pupil gets wider, larger when you are on hallucination drugs like LSD. Wich is clearly not shown in this movie.
What i mean is that when for example in the scene were the girl said to her dad to look into his eyes, they should have maked his pupils larger then they actually were, (since he was not really on LSD or any drug during the scene right). I dont know if they made his pupils look big or not, but in many scenes when they zoomed in on his eyes, they clearly were small like someones eyes use to be. Even smaller then usual :D! His pupils looked so small like he had been taking something like morphine rather instead!.....

I actually just had a comment about the pupils(since they failed total with showing that in every scene in this movie!), i have myself never taken LSD, yet. But i have taken other hallucination drugs, and all these drugs makes the pupils bigger. That is why the vision gets curved/distorted.

The LSD experience in this film was very poorly depicted - though it led to funny scenes.
The most ridiculous bit was the kid ingesting 15.000 micrograms. 1.500 mikes would be enough to send him booming around the infinity of neurospace, and he would not even have been able to move, to communicate, let alone see distorted things. 250 microgramms of pure LSD is the nominal dosage to have a full-blown trip with mystical insights. So 15.000 micrograms? He would probably have been out for weeks.
The scriptwriter could have done a bit more research.
The best tripping film remains, of course, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.

Again, LSD is not as dangerous as it made. For those interested in the subject, do a bit of research, there are some very good books out there.

Early Pink Floyd right after Syd Barrett left the band, is the best music to trip to in my opinion. "Umma Gumma" and "Saucerful of Secrets" are two of my favorites. I can listen to both of those albums and have flashbacks.

Wow, this is so not true. Do you know what kind of junk they put into acid? The danger with LSD is that it's made by someone tossing a bunch of chemicals together. Some hits have more of one chemical than others, some have more of something else. The type of trip you may get depends on what concentrations of what are thrown in there. It used to be thought that the design on the tab(music notes, cartoon images, etc) would tell you what type of trip it was. I don't know how accurate that is. But all it takes is someone to add too much of the wrong thing to screw it up.

I've never had people having difficulty understanding me after a trip. I have seen images move in paintings, but not come out. But I did take a dose once where some people seemed to be talking so fast that it was just gibberish--it sounded exactly like the character in the taxi.

Yes it is, if it's pure LSD and not mixed with amphetamines and what all. The physiological damage is non-existent, unlike cannabis, tobacco alcohol or cocaine. The risks are purely of purely psychological order. It depends on the mental state of the user and his/her immediate surroundings. These factors will determine the outcome of the trip.

Isn't it amazing how stupid some folks are

Unlike these children here who take baby doses I took Nick Sand acid early 70s

500 to 1000 mikes of pure Sidney

Plus countless huge psylocibin and peyote doses

It's extremely dangerous......I've seen folks have sobbing life altering breakdowns on hard trips

It was not for nothing called Acid Tests then

Sadly, it’s not amazing online. The internet community, largely speaking, is very sad.
