Not exactly a happy ending

Even though he, with help from members of the literal underground, free everyone it is still not really that happy of an ending.
Think about it.

All those innocents the Cleric killed are dead.
His wife. Still dead.
All those dogs. Dead.
The woman he was crushing on. Dead.
All those works of art and other artifacts such as the masterpiece The Mona Lisa, burned and turned to ashes forever.
Yay! Now we can go back to wars and fights and keep on killing and hating on each other!
