Oh man!!! I just finished watching and had to start writing before all the rush wears off. WHAT A FILM!!! It is the best movie I have seen since a couple of crazy cats created something called "Matrix". But man, this is even better than the Wachowski's trilogy. This is Gataca, this is Taken, this is 1984, this Dark city, this is Fight Club all combined!

Stop whatever you are doing and go watch Equilibrium!

I haven't seen Taken. This is better than Gattaca because the problem with Gattaca is that the guy becomes the lead astronaut for an important space mission and he's obviously highly unqualified to be that astronaut. The guy has breathing problems and he's not physically fit enough.

You obviously weren't paying attention when you watched GATTACA. He falsified his DNA records and despite his physical flaws he still managed to succeed through perseverence and will.
He also got some silent help from the testing doctor at the facility, who was angry his own son couldn't get in because of bad DNA. He helped him stay in because it was his own quiet way to rebel against the system.
The movie had a lot of subtleties that your neanderthal brain couldn't process.

I find it difficult to believe someone who likes this film also watched Gattaca. You turned it off before finishing, didn't you... Be honest. It was too boring and lacked action, right?

Anyways, Gattaca is a phenomenal sci-fi film. This film is a piece of sh!t.

If you ask me Matrix has nothing on this film. Equilibrium is simply brilliant.

hahaha...i feel sorry for mankind when i read things like this, cause this movie aint good or awsome action...its ridiculous in every way possible and its so many plot holes that a swiss cheese looks tight as bunny a-hole for heavens sake...u must either be like 10 years old or mentally handicapped to like this movie or even think its a well made action...just read the thread "100 things i learned from Equilibrium" and u will find alot of the plot holes mentioned...this movie is a joke to all sci-fi action and serious movie fans out there, and i bet Bale rly regrets having this turd fest film on his resume...only good thing in this movie is that the ridiculous action scenes are actually really nice choreographed, otherwise there isnt anything worth seeing unless u have some serious mental illness or to young to see what crap this is.
