I just happened to catch most of this movie on TV and I really enjoyed it.
It's not deep or groundbreaking, but good.
For those of you who didn't like it, why not?
I have to say that I just watched this movie again for the first time in years. But I have to say that it was the first Russell Crowe movie that I had ever seen. I was hooked I love everything that I have seen him in.

Good movie but I hate that it went Hollywood for like 3 scenes and had a useless "Relationship" between Meg Ryan and Russell Crowe that was dropped. Can't a movie just be a movie without love or sex involved between the two main characters?

It’s very Taylor Hackford - good story well told, with strong performances and a well-researched real world vibe. Sometimes it’s nice to take a break from cinematic high art and crazy spectacle, and just watch the movie equivalent of a solid airport novel.
Crowe’s character is the film’s secret weapon - he’s awesome. I’d love to see further adventures of Terry Thorne.
