For your information, WatchMojo aren't critics and what they put on their Top 10's is not based on their opinion, but rather public opinion polls on their website.
I happen to agree with their selection here, because really, Spy Kids is a movie that doesn't hold up. It was a product of it's time, nothing more. And aside from spawning several sequels, it doesn't have much of a lasting legacy and it's appeal has greatly faded over time (hence the 5.5 rating on IMDb). Hope this helps.
i disagree i am watching it right now with my little brother and sister and it holds up for nostalgia value for me and the kids like it too
