Anyone forsee a mini-series on the 80s? That would be laughable. Although maybe not. Here are the possible characters. Young patriotic guy- goes to Grenada, Beirut, gets wounded, but works with Reagan Administration, gets embroiled in Iran Contra. Young minority kid- grows up in NY, sees subway shootings like Bernie Goetz and poverty, is musical, helps give birth to old school rap or protest music of the day. Girl- party girl, fashionable, but gets some weird disease, healed by some medical care or seeks help of Jim and Tammy Faye Baker.

Anyone else have ideas, serious or otherwise?

OH NO NO NO LOL As a child of the 80's I do NOT want to relive my jr high and high school years! Blech. They will pick out a plethoria of lame songs and set the movie to fit the soundtrack surrounding events I dont care to remember.

I do enjoy anything on the seventies - since that is my childhood. Cat Stevens, Joni Mitchell, Fleetwood Mac, Heart, Clapton, and anything else in that era is my music!

one of the characters has to get AIDS. The 70's tackled race, women's issues and the environment. .....80's would have to do GLBT and disability
