Did anyone catch who was crying on Eddie's voice mail? Was it mentioned later in the movie?

Just watched it and could easily be mistaken but I thought maybe it was Nico not hanging up the phone properly after calling to accept the gig.
That's interesting. Maybe. But if it was Jessie, why? Calling after taking a beating perhaps? But why call Eddie, she was brand new there, and didn't even know him.
