It was all Jack's fault

Telling him to spike the ball, not fixing his toilet, letting his septic tank overflow, all the bad things that happened to the wedding were all Jack's fault.

I think you make a good point. Jack puts a lot of pressure on him making him over do things to gain his respect.

reply

Absolutely, and his wife and daughter basically called him on it at the end, which is why he went after Greg.

Absolutely

Why wouldn't you turn the water off on a toilet if it's broke?

reply

I wondered about the same thing.

He could've probably done 20 different things to physically and mechanically disable the flushing system so it absolutely can NOT be used whatsoever.

It's sheer madness to leave it intact and functional in a situation where flushing it would cause the septic tank to overflow - that's just asking for trouble. At least take off the handle, for crying out loud, or anything.

Or how about if you're living in a house that nice, that was in a neighborhood, how about being connected to a sewer line instead of having a septic tank. And if the septic tank was almost full, have it emptied.

And if you have a toilet that's broke in a bathroom that's in an area of your house that you and your wife seldom use, just turn off the water to that toilet.

And how about not snooping thru other peoples pockets, and conveniently forgetting that its not his jacket, but your son's.

And you accuse Greg of being a pot head due to him thinking your favorite song is about smoking weed, but are oblivious to your sons obvious habits. You even catch him red handed with a pipe in hand.

reply

Not to defend Jack but perhaps he lives in an area where there are no sewer lines nearby. In my city, there are acreages inside city limits where there are no sewer or water lines available.
