Hasn't anyone seen this movie???

I'm surprised that since this movie was made fairly recently it's not more commonly known!?! It's a wonderful movie with perfectly chosen actors that play there parts legendry (and of course cos Colin Firth's in it......need I say more). I have been trying to find this video everywhere yet it's like it doesn't exist. So if anyone gets a chance to see it, please share your thoughts; maybe ur fav character, fav scene, fav line... anything like that.

I love Noel Coward plays a and directed this over thirty years ago, I never thought I'd see a film version made. The original was produced on the London Stage in 1950. When I saw this on cable I was sure it would be a disaster, and happily I was wrong! It is quite faithful to the play and all the performances are on target. And it's so good to hear clever dialog in a comedy and not just site gags and sex jokes for a change!

Well I honestly think it didn't work since it's not a good movie, I think it's rather boring.

I viewed on the US cable channel Flix.

I really liked the movie for what it was, light hearted fun. I thought the cast was wonderful, and especially enjoyed Colin Firth in a role that is not typical of him at all. I have liked Sophie Thompson since I saw her in Emma and thought she was great too. Steven Fry was good, a little understated, and Julie Andrews is always marvelous.

I think the parts of Miranda and Nigel could have been played by anyone, and Jeanne Tripplehorn and Edward Atterton did okay in thankless roles.

I would definitely see it again

I watched it for the first time last night, and thourilly enjoyed it. This film was a nice contrast to most of the action, sex or violent films shown these days. Julie Andrews and Colin Firth was great as usual, i just wish the girl who played the maid Alice had been given a bigger part, she was so funny, and bubbly..great entertainment!

I found it rather bland. The script was weak, the direction unispiring, the actors were decent, but all in all nothing specal. Easy Virtue is much better, the only thing I prefered from this version is Jeanne Triplehorn.
