Wow, there are a lot of insecure guys on here...

That can't stand the fact that it might be possible for a woman to kick a man's butt. Do I think this ending is unlikely? Considering that Adrian trained a lot longer that she did, ya I do, but it's not impossible like some of you are making out. Men just feel so threatened by the idea though...I think it's funny.

This is the movie's inevitable conclusion. No woman will ever respect any guy she can beat up. The exception: dominatrices.

Speaking of insecurity, that's what Michelle Rodriguez has been exuding in her roles ever since this movie put her on the map. All we've seen from her is that she knows how to be angry.

You just linked to a tv trope, not a real life psychological study. Happy couples exist where the woman is stronger than the man. It's rare but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist and CERTAINLY doesn't mean it can't be in a film.

Translation:

How dare you insult my intelligence by linking to that subjective trash? Now here's my opinion that has no scientific backing to it whatsoever, but you must take as fact or you will be seen as nothing more than an evil chauvinist pig. Also, I'm better than you, and I don't even need to be Straight Edge to do so.

#1, Calm down

#2, Do you actually think we should take for reality a pattern that exists in movies?

#3, Why are the relationships in those films more realistic than the relationship depicted in this film? They're both movies, and yet you seem to trust one way more than the other.

#4, Are you really saying that there do not exist any couples in real life where the woman is stronger than the man? Are you POSITIVE about that?

#5, Are you prepared to cite "scientific backing"? You didn't before. You didn't just then. The original poster didn't. Why should I have to?

#6, You know what? I am better than you. How about that.

I know why you're riled up, but there was another trope in that site there just for you:

I know you want to be a good little feminist and all, but this is not the evil caveman you're looking for. That line of questioning makes you look line a troll, though.

If you're not a caveman, then why do you seem to have such a big problem with feminists?

Which ones?

Perhaps they're realistic? Men are stronger than women, period. This is like when there was that "Ronda Rousey is so good she could beat men" hype and then she goes and gets her ass kicked repeatedly by other women.

This movie was ruined by the unrealistic ending. The guy either threw the fight or was so bad he had no business being in a boxing gym losing to that girl.
