My best and worst characters in Final Fantasy 6

Best characters in the game.

Terra- Terra is one of the best players to use in the game, she can use Morph and she can equip a large variety of weapons and armor. She has great strength and magic spells.

Locke- Locke is one of the best players to also use in the game, he can steal rare items not found in stores, he can equip a large variety of weapons and armor. He has high strength.

Edgar- Edgar is another best player to use in the game, his tools can often pierce through enemies defenses, attack a group of enemies.

Sabin- Sabin is another best player to use in the game. He has high strength. He can use blitz moves especially fire dance. However keep in mind that the blitz moves may be hard for some people to execute in the game.

Celes- Celes is another best player to use. She has a move called runic which can absorb any magic spell the enemy tries to cast on the players. she can equip a large variety of weapons and armor. She has great strength and magic spells.

Shadow- Shadow is another best character in the game. He has high strength, his dog can fight in battle, he can throw weapons at enemies and do high damage.

Gogo- Gogo is easily one of the best secret characters to get in the game. Not only can he mime each attack, you can customize 3 of his slots to your advantage.

I would highly recommend getting Gogo in the game. Keep in mind you cannot equip Espers on him or raise his stats. He is one of the best characters to use.

I would highly recommend leveling up those characters as they can be the most powerful players in the game.

Mediocre characters in the game.

Strago- Strago is an okay character, he can only equip armor for magic users, and uses rods. However some of his lore spells including step mine are the best to use in the game.

Relm- Relm is an okay character, she can only equip armor for magic users, and uses rods and brushes, her brush skills are okay, but control is much better if you're trying to get Strago to learn magic spells.

Setzer- Setzer is an okay character, however his slots are hard to pull off and even useless if you get it wrong. His fixed dice can be very helpful if you fight in the Colosseum.

Cyan- Cyan is an okay character, however his swdtech skills take time to load which can be a problem during a dangerous battle. He can't equip some of the weapons in the game.

Mog- Mog is an okay character to use in the game. His dance spells will make him go berserk. But his Moogle Charm will allow you to travel in dungeons without any random encounters.

Worst characters in the game.

Gau- It's a pain to have to get Gau to use leap on the random monsters in the Veldt. He can't fight like everyone else in the game so fight is replaced with rage which will cause him to go berserk every time.

On a few positive notes you can still cast magic spells, and some of his Rage moves can help out. Otherwise avoid using him.

Umaro- He is literally one of the worst fighters in the game, not only is he berserk in every battle, he can't use any items or magic spells in the game, ever. Avoid using him.

Best: Terra for versatility (equipment, Morph, magic, batt.pwr), Sabin for Blitzes, Edgar for Tools.

Upper-mid: Locke steals things and I dig his boomerangs (back row, full damage), Shadow's Throw can be rippingly powerful, Stragos has some neat moves, and Gogo's Mimicry makes him very modular. I will admit, though, I knocked Gogo down a peg for being a bit dull as a character.

Lower-mid: Cyan's Sword Technique is *so* powerful and *so* slow, Mog and Gau both have cool powers, but they lack control, Relm's abilities don't work when it matters - kinda random. Setzer gets to be here because of his sweet, sweet gambler vibe and for his interesting weaponry, even though his slots are rubbish.

Worst: Umaro. If you want to leave an enemy alive longer than the others, Umaro is *guaranteed* to kill it first. I found him kinda useful in the Colosseum, however, since his limited move list makes him less likely to use random, foolish moves. His strength also gives him a good edge.
