Senseless, laughable, junk

As if David Lynch took Carnivale, Schindlers List, Chocolat and the Titanic and made one awful, senseless movie of it. They even seem to have borrowed Depp straight off the set of Chocolat in his French-Gypsy phase. It is so bad that I'm shocked it isn't a cult classic by now. The plot is absolutely senseless. This is coming from a Depp fan as well.

You are warned. Avoid at all costs or you'll be wishing for those 2 hours back at the end of your days on earth.

When one is a jerk,it is not essential to prove it in print. This is a beautiful, authentic movie. As a European,a Jew and a Hungarian I loved the very familiar music. Had you seen Latcho Drom-sadly no plot or dialogue-it follows the path of the gypsies from India to Rumania,Hungary,Turkey, and finally Spain. Gypsies are famous for horse trading and music. But go ahead-feel free to return to Sponge Bob. It must have a much more sensible plot.

Watched on Instant Viewing on Netflix. Visually pretty to look at, but the story was ridiculous. Especially toward the end when Ricci gets to America and (what seems to be a few short days) is able to find information on her father with just a photo and a last name. He's no longer in New York, but wait! Now she's in Hollywood, and (with the same immediate luck) is able to learn from a studio executive that he's practically dying from exhaustion! All that time separated, she's able to see him -on his death-bed? Is her presence the tonic he needs to make a full recovery and she'll be welcome into his new family with open arms and they'll make music together and Johnny Depp will survive and sail to her and...what crap!
