bbc radio drama

this story fit so well on radio theatre, as a matter of fact i can't think of a better medium for this plot, as just words it would appear insane, as a movie it would appear as a kids flick (both boards of this movie, 1950's original and this remake, calls it the worst movie ever and just find it confusing), but on radio it seems just made for, and you don't have to worry about animal cruelty scenes, i didn't realise while listening where the inspiration came from, but funny thinking afterwards how i got a boris jeltsin vibe when they talked about changing the tune, the sounds throughout the story reminds me of little richard's version of "old macdonald" on his 1993 album, some sounds also reminded of "family guy" animal bits, and the narrating female sounds like stewies (cruel) friend in one episode, i think she was voiced by cate blanchett or some very famous actress guest appearing in the episode, i was surprised how immediately it started with the animals in full action, i expected some long explanation about how the farm animals had gotten this ability, still i prefer the running time of "the twilight zone radio dramas" always fitting on one disc, while this bbc radio production (along with some other radio producers) contains two discs 💿 or sometimes much more of course, the twilight zone radio dramas is quite unique in packing under less than one hour an amazing story, actors, narrating, music, sound effects into one cd, same thing with old movies, some old movie making guy joked that today's end credits run longer than a movie used to in the old days, since they say people are more stressed than ever, you figure it would be the other way around. anyway, i expected this story to take a whole different development and turn into some "planet of the apes" like sort of thing, but it was neither that or a great ending shocker, i figure kids would be freaked out by it though if they have the discipline to listen at two hours of radio. 😕

soul vacation without a care,
suddenly beyond blank spot saw your stare,
blonde wave set me in emotion,
as i was lost surfin the ocean,
caught in turmoil,
in mess washed ashore,
gone so long id written you off,
you grabbed hold of my soul,
realised it felt good comin home.
