This movie wants to be 'The Matrix' so bad it hurts

It mostly hurts to watch the stupid 'TV effects' and the ridiculous 'soundtrack' that tries to copy 'The Matrix' - I don't know if anyone else noticed the green hues and the IDENTICAL 'scary sound effects' they use in places, that sound like they're ripped off from The Matrix, but holy cow.

This is clearly some no-talent hack's idea of cashing in on that movie, in the usual style of: "Let's take the main star of that movie, add some other big name, put same music in it, then use a lot of shaky cam and cheap TV effects and profit!"

I could even forgive it, if the story was good. If the movie looked good, if the music was good, if there was SOMETHING redeemable in this absolute trashfire of some movie school student's brother's first turd.

It's unfortunate that they made 'The Matrix', because THIS is the consequence; a torrent of garbage trying to cash in on the success of that movie, without anyone involved understanding why the movie was so successful. 'Must be Keanu, so just cast him and do whatever, we'll be rich!' 'OK!'.. sigh.

How many 'The Matrices' did they make after that movie? A long time ago, someone I knew once told me he has like ten 'The Matrices' on his movie shelf, and lamented how crazy that is.

The only proper way to mimic a successful movie is to take, not the actors, not the premise, not the story, not the idea, not the action, and especially NOT the damn effects, but analyze the movie to see why it's viewed as good, then create a good story, make it look good how it was told, cast GOOD and/or appropriate actors instead of big names (these can be the same thing, of course), then make it your own, aim for a BETTER MOVIE in all possible ways you can. Don't worry about the effects too much, don't worry about anything except just taking a good story and making your own, as-good-as-you-can version of that story into a movie.

THEN you can profit.

Don't just COPYPASTE some element or part of a movie, or try to create the same story in a slightly different way (unless you know what you're doing), do something of your own, and only LEARN from what movie and APPLY that learning in a creative way, don't just copy the exact stuff.

It's like.. if you look at how some flower is shaded in a movie, you can learn from how things are shaded to make them look cool, instead of just making an identical flower shot without even paying attention to the shading. That's the difference between how to do it like everyone does, without understanding anything, and how to do it successfully, even if it doesn't become a 'box office hit', because true success is not about money or pandering to the lowest common denominator with the biggest wallets.

No matter how low your expectations for a 'wannabe-TheMatrix-but-more-boring' are, you will be disappointed with this trash 'TV experiment' that I can't really call a movie if I want to be absolutely honest and accurate.

Holy cow is it stupid in all possible ways, implausible, idiotic, annoying, gimmicky and BORING. The ending is also confusing and makes no sense.. how does Keanu's character even die, when he's perfectly alive when he flies through the air with the STUPIDEST stock sound effect ever put into a movie just before he lands in the water.

Does the water impact kill him? I was fully expecting him to raise menacingly from the water, like the unkillable guy in the movie 'Silent Rage', which is a stupid, pandering cliché movie with boobies in it (mainly Chuck's partner, ha ha), but still 9 billion times better than this horrible garbage crap turd.

What? Were you expecting me to say 'Jason' or some other name like that?

In any case, I am glad movies finally stopped trying to be 'The Matrix' in the most superficial way possible, but sometimes you stub your soul into one of these turd waves in the movie pond that The Matrix created so many ripples in.
