The PBS science/educational show that initially ran on PBS from 1980 to 1988 will serve as inspiration for the comedian's new variety show, Mulaney reveals in an Esquire profile. Mulaney wants the show to appeal to kids as well as adults. “It’s something I’d like to watch,” he says. “And I don’t wanna do anything anyone else is doing.”
